Accommodation will be provided as per hotel list above on Room with meals as specified in the itinerary. An extra bed will be provided in the room for three persons sharing one room. The extra bed is often a folding bed, much inferior to the existing twin/double bed.

 Istanbul
Day 1 : IZMIR

Arrive to IZMIR, met by our representatives and transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : IZMIR
After breakfast drive to Sardis, the ancient capital of the state of Lydia where gold and silver coins were first minted. Sardis was also a centre to very receptive to early Christian teachings and had a substantial community of believers by the 1st cent A.D. Lunch en route. Then visit the temple of Artemis, the gymnasium and the ancient synagogue. Return to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 : IZMIR

Drive to Ephesus, the only Greco-Roman site in the world that gives an idea of the grandeur of bygone centuries. Ephesus is another city of the Seven Churches of the Revelation and an ancient largest port with a population over 250.000. The city played major role in the development of architecture, religions, economic systems and arts. St.Paul lived here, and walked through the marble streets. Lunch en route.

Tour the ancient city with its legendary marble streets, the magnificent theatre, Hadrian's temple and the library of Celsus. Then visit the archeological museum of Selcuk,The Church of St.Jean and the House of Virgin Mary - now Chapel. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 : CANAKKALE

Drive to Pergamum, the most favored of the Seven Churches. Christianity reached Pergamum very early and its church was praised for extraordinary forbearance during times of persecution. It was here that the first Christians were executed by Rome. Visit the stunning Acropolis of the Hellenistic city, perched 1000 feet above the town. Remains include the Altar of Zeus, palaces, the temple of Trajan and Dionysus and the world's steepest amphitheatre.
Lunch en route.

In the afternoon visit the Asklepion and drive north to Canakkale for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 : ISTANBUL

After breakfast visit Troy, the legendary town in the Illiad of Homer.The first excavations were made by the German archeologist Heinrich Schleimann in 1871, and revealed that Troy was real place and not just a mythological legend. See the excavations showing several layers of this civilization and the recreated Wooden Horse. Lunch en route. Then take a ferry across the Dardanelles and drive to Istanbul to your hotel for overnight.

Day 6 : ISTANBUL

After breakfast departure for the tour of Istanbul. Start the tour with a visit to the legendary Blue Mosque, decorated with beautiful 17th cent Iznik tiles. Then stroll around the historical Hippodrome where chariot races were held in the Roman and Byzantine era. Continue to St.Sophia - a Christian Basilica (church) conceived by Constantine in the 6th century which became a mosque during the Ottoman Empire and now is a museum. See the beautiful mosaics displayed at the museum. Visit the Suleymaniye Mosque, built in 16th cent, dedicated to Suleyman the Magnificent, by the famous architect Sinan. In the afternoon visit the Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Ottoman Sultans. See the Treasury, the Kitchens and Portraits of the Sultans. Lunch en route. Have some free time at the world famous Grand Bazaar ( Kapali Carsi ) of Istanbul. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 7 : ISTANBUL

All the day free. Optional tours are available on request.

Day 8 : ISTANBUL

Visit the Egyptian Bazaar, used as a spice market since 1665, before boarding the ferry which crosses the Bosphorus, visiting both Europe and Asia. Stop en route to take photos of the natural beauty and see the 15th cent Rumelihisar fortress,summer palaces and old wooden houses. The cruise terminates at the fishing village of Sariyer, close to the Black Sea. Lunch en route. Then drive by coach via the Intercontenental bridge to Camlica Hill on the Asian side to see the beautiful panoramic view of Istanbul. Visit the Beylerbeyi Palace - the summer residence of Ottoman Sultans with original furniture and magnificent gardens. Visit a typical fishermen's village along the Bosphorus, with free time for leisure or shopping.

Return to Istanbul for the overnight.
Day 9 : ISTANBUL - Departure

Transfer to Istanbul airport for your flight.
