Bangkok - Saigon - Siem Reap |
Day 1 –Bangkok - Saigon |
Depart Bangkok for Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon, transfer out of airport. Overnight in Saigon.

| Day 2 - Saigon (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast at hotel, head out to Cu Chi Tunnels for an excursion. Never discovered by American forces, the Cu Chi Tunnels where an important Vietcong base during the American War. Stretching over 200 km, this incredible underground network, dug by hand out of hard laterite, connected command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore Saigon city through a sightseeing tour. A vibrant metropolis, Saigon teems with energy, activity and motion. Everywhere you look, you see the meeting of traditional and modern life. The emerging modern skyline stands cheek by jowl with colonial buildings and traditional temples. Begin you tour with a tour of the historic center, strolling along Dong Khoi Street, the main shopping thoroughfare and heart of old colonial Saigon. Pass by classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall, the old Opera House, and pay a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Afterwards dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Continue to the harrowing War Remnants Museum. Finally, end up at the central Ben Thanh Market, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts, appealing to every taste. Overnight in Saigon.

| Day 3 - Saigon (Breakfast / Lunch) |
Breakfast at hotel followed by an excursion by boat to My Tho. From Saigon, transfer to My Tho, a bustling town in the rich agricultural region of the Mekong Delta and visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful temple and a sanctuary for orphans and other needy children. Afterwards board a local boat to explore the Mekong River Islands, stopping at a fruit orchard to enjoy fruit and tea while listening to local music and Thoi Son islet. The trip also includes a brief sampan ride through the tiny waterways that thread the island. Free time for shopping activities or leisure. Transfer back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

| Day 4 - Saigon - Siem Reap (Breakfast / Dinner) |
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to catch a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, transfer to Angkor Village Resort for dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.

| Day 5 - Siem Reap (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast at hotel, head out for a sightseeing tour of Angkor Complexes. First visit Angkor Wat, the national symbol and the highlight of any visit to Cambodia. Angkor impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its cravings. Then visit Angkor Thom. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats, the city includes many of Angkor’s most popular sights. Enter by the monumental South Gate over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper Kings. Visit the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas and the mysterious Bayon Temples. Before the day ends stop at Ta Prohm, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor as much of the jungle has not been cleared and it looks very much as most of the Angkor monuments would have appeared when European explorers first stumbled across them. Overnight in Siem Reap.

| Day 6 - Siem Reap (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast at hotel, take an excursion by boat to the Tonle Sap Lake. Located in the heart of Cambodia, this extraordinary lake swells up to seven times its original size during the monsoon season. The boat trip will explore the floating fishing villages that live at the edges of the lake, passing submerged forests and fishing farms. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Show Time & Schedule: This spectacular light and sound show will be held at the Angkor Wat from 20:00 hrs- 21.00 hrs from 5 December 2008 - 31 January 2009 except every Sunday. The show is closed on every Sunday and on December 24 and 31, 2008.
