Depart Bangkok for Luang Prabang, the ancient capital city of the Lan Xang Kingdom. The city is famous for its historic temples and beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. Upon arrival, transfer out of airport for a sightseeing tour. Start the tour with visits to Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Aham and Wat Visunalat. End the day at Mount Phousi for a beautiful sunset. Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

| Day 2 - Luang Prabang (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast, continue your discovery of the Lan Xang Kingdom at the National Museum (former Royal Palace). The museum is a modest but graceful building which combines traditional Lao and French beaux-arts motifs. This turn-of-the-century royal residence has been preserved as it was when the royal family last lived here and provides unique insights into the history of Laos. Stop for lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon take an excursion by boat to Pak Ou Caves located in the steep rock cliff at the confluence of the Mekong River and Ou River. The caves are full of Buddha images of varying styles, ages and sizes. Then visit Ban Xang Hai, once known as a Jar-Maker Village, before returning to the city for overnight.

| Day 3 - Luang Prabang (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast, head off to Kuang Si Waterfalls by vehicle. On the way to the waterfall, visit minority village of Ban Muang Khai. The multi-tiered Kuang Si Waterfall tumbles over limestone formations into a series of turquoise pools. Enjoy swimming in the clear water or just relaxing in the natural environment. Lunch at local restaurant then continue to Ban Tha Pene, a nearby Khmu village, before returning to Luang Prabang. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to catch a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, transfer to Angkor Village Resort for dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.

| Day 5 – Siem Reap (Breakfast / Lunch) |
After breakfast at hotel, head out for a sightseeing tour of Angkor Complexes. First visit Angkor Wat, the national symbol and the highlight of any visit to Cambodia. Angkor impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its cravings. Then visit Angkor Thom. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats, the city includes many of Angkor’s most popular sights.
Enter by the monumental South Gate over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper Kings. Visit the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas and the mysterious Bayon Temples. Before the day ends stop at Ta Prohm, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor as much of the jungle has not been cleared and it looks very much as most of the Angkor monuments would have appeared when European explorers first stumbled across them. Overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast at hotel, take an excursion by boat to the Tonle Sap Lake. Located in the heart of Cambodia, this extraordinary lake swells up to seven times its original size during the monsoon season. The boat trip will explore the floating fishing villages that live at the edges of the lake, passing submerged forests and fishing farms. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap. |
