Day 1 Kota Kinabalu-Kinabalu National Park-Poring Hot Spring |
|
This sojourn into the heart of Sabah begins with a mountainous drive through the Crocker Range to Malaysia’s 1st World Heritage
Site, Kinabalu National Park, where a treat awaits nature enthusiasts with a guided jungle trek, visit to the mountain garden and
slide show on the Park followed by lunch. Continue to Poring Hot Springs for a dip in its hot sulphur baths and the thrill of a
lifetime, the 41m high canopy walk. Return to Kota Kinabalu, freshen up for dinner at a Seafood restaurant with an accompanying
cultural performance.
Overnight at Hyatt Regency, or similar in Kota Kinabalu.

Day 2 Sandakan-Sepilok Orangutan-Sukau-Proboscic Monkey Cruise |
|
Depart for Sandakan, one of Sabah’s oldest settlements on the East Coast of Borneo. Upon arrival, proceed to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in time for the morning feed and a trek into pristine, protected jungles. Depart for Sukau and arrive in
the late afternoon in time for your evening river cruise along the Kinabatangan River to catch the impish proboscis monkeys,
Orangutan, hornbills, and the rare Asian pygmy elephant and other wildlife. Return for dinner and prepare for a night safari back
on the river.
Overnight at Discovery River Lodge in Sukau or similar.

Day 3 Sukau-Ox-bow Lake Cruise |
|
Rise early for a cruise to the Ox-bow Lake and venture upon a short jungle trek to appreciate Borneo’s fascinating wildlife, wild
boar and an occasional Orangutan, as the highlight this morning trek. Take the evening cruise and try to spot the animals you did
not see the previous day. Spend one more night with Mother Nature at the riverside lodge.
Overnight at Discovery River Lodge or similar in Sukau.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4 Sandakan-Gomantang Cave-English Tea House |
|
Return to Sandakan town, stopping enroute at Gomantong Caves to glimpse amazing swiftlets and bats. Gomantong is renowned
for its birds’ nests harvest. Enjoy lunch at the quaint English Teahouse adjacent to the Agnes Keith House Museum before a tour
of the historic town.
Overnight at Sabah Hotel or similar in Sandakan.

Day 5 Sandakan-Turtle Island |
|
In this next adventure, a boat ride on the South China Sea takes you to Selingan Island or as it is more popularly known, Turtle
Island. Catch huge turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs and help rangers release day-old hatchlings into the sea.
Overnight at Turtle Island Chalet or similar in Turtle Island.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 6-Day 7 Sandakan-Danum Valley |
|
Return to Sandakan via boat, board the coach that will take you overland to Lahad Datu, the gateway to the Danum Valley, and
the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Created for nature enthusiasts who can appreciate the richness of Borneo’s mega bio-diversity, the
Danum Valley Tour offers an awesome opportunity to explore Sabah’s largest protected area of lowland Dipterocarp forest.
Activities for 2 days include guided nature walks, jungle trekking, bird watching and night excursions into the rainforest. Chance
sightings of elephants, deer, boar, Orangutan and other fauna that are endemic to Sabah and Borneo make for an unforgettable
experience.

Day 8 Lahad Datu-Kota Kinabalu-City |
|
An afternoon coach ride will bring you back to Lahad Datu, where you will catch you domestic flight back to Kota Kinabalu. A
dinner in a local Western restaurant to round off your recent experiences into the Wilds of Borneo.
Overnight at Hyatt Regency, or similar in Kota Kinabalu.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A day of leisure, as you await your flight out, and time for you to contemplate your next adventure.
