 Tour Itinerary
Amman, Petra, Aqaba

Day 1 - Amman

Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport where our guests would be assisted through formalities and passport control. Later on, guests would proceed to their hotel in Amman for over night.

Day 2 - Amman

After breakfast, guests would be transferred for half day city tour of Amman visiting the Citadel, Museum, Amphitheatre, Folklore Museum, & King Abdullah’s Mosque, the old and new part of Amman (2-3 hours). After the tour, head to the North to Jerash which is a 45-minutes drive away from Amman. Jerash, the Graeco-Roman City of Jerash [ancient Gerasa], close second to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan. Boasting an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years and hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash is a fine example of the grand, formal and provincial Roman towns found throughout the Middle East. One can walk beneath four imposing gates or down the "Street of Columns" north from the “Oval Plaza” while stepping over the tracks of chariot wheels still visible in the paving stones. After the tour, guests would head back to Amman for over night at Amman Hotel.

Day 3 - Petra

After breakfast, guests would be transferred to Petra visiting en route Madaba & Mount Nebo and Kerak (King Highway). The trip south from Amman along the 5,000-year-old King's Highway is one of the most memorable journeys in the Holy Land, passing through a string of ancient sites. The first city you come upon is Madaba, "the City of Mosaics". Madaba's chief attraction -in the contemporary Greek Orthodox church of St. George- is a wonderfully vivid, sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Ten minutes to the west is the most revered site in Jordan: Mount Nebo, the memorial of Moses, the presumed site of the prophet's death and burial place. A small, square church was built on the spot by early Byzantine Christians-and later expanded into a vast complex. Later proceed further south to Kerak. Kerak lies about 150 Km south of Amman. It is famous of its crusader fortress in the center of underground galleries, rooms and secret passageways and its thick defensive walls pierced by narrow arrow slits where crusader archers held out bravely but in vain for over 100 years. It was the crusaders who made Kerak famous. The fortress was built in 1142 by Payen Le Boutellier, the lord of Montreal. He made Kerak the new capital of the province because it was situated on the king's highway, where it could control all traffic from north and south. After the tours, guests would proceed to Petra for check in and over night.

Day 4 - Petra

After breakfast, guests would be transferred via the desert way to Petra for a visit along with 800-meters horse ride. Hidden behind an almost impenetrable barrier of rugged mountains, the legendary “Red – Rose” city of Petra is, perhaps, the most stunning site in the entire Middle East, carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people who settled in the South more than 2,000 years ago. The approach through the cool gloom of the Siq, a long narrow gorge whose steeply rising sides all but obliterate the sun, provides a dramatic contrast with the magic to come. Suddenly, the gorge opens into a natural square dominated by Petra's most famous monument, the ‘Treasury’ [Al Khasneh], who’s intricately carved facade glows in the dazzling sun. The Monastery [El Deir] and the High Place of the Sacrifice [Al Madbah] are among the myriad archeological wonders to be explored in Petra. After tour, guests would head back to hotel at Petra.

Day 5 - Aqaba

After breakfast, guests would be transferred to Wadi Rum for 1.5-hour Bedouin jeep ride inside Wadi Rum. Stunning in its natural beauty, Wadi Rum epitomizes the romance of the desert. With its "moonscape" of ancient valleys and towering sandstone mountains rising out of the sand, Wadi Rum is also home to several Bedouin tribes who live in scattered camps throughout the area. Climbers are especially attracted to Wadi Rum because of its sheer granite and sandstone cliffs, while hikers enjoy its vast empty spaces. Wadi Rum is probably best known because of its connection with the enigmatic British officer T.E. Lawrence, who was based here during the Great Arab Revolt of 1917-18. Much of David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia was filmed in Wadi Rum. After the tour, proceed onto Aqaba (Red Sea) for check in and over night.

Day 6 - Amman

AM Free at leisure. PM, guests would be transferred via the desert way back to Amman for check in and over night.

Day 7 - Amman

Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure with full assistance.
