Miri (Arrival) -Mulu Caves - Miri (Departure) |

Day 1 Miri |
|
Arrive into Miri airport and transfer to the hotel. Then proceed for a tour of the town. See the Long Jetty, which was used, as an
alternative loading and unloading point for Shell's Vessel during low tide and rough seas. The Bridge is also a popular spot for
evening stroll among the local residents. Visit the Modern Miri Civic Centre, used for various function by the locals. Lutong town
is the nerve centre of the petroleum industry in this town. Highlight of this tour is the "Grand Old Lady" oil weld on top of Canada
Hill dating back to 1910. This is the first oil well, which turned this sleepy town into a bustling town overnight.

Day 2 Miri-Mulu Caves |
|
Transfer to airport for your flight to Mulu National Park. Check-in and then take a boat ride to the Park. Have lunch and then start
your tour visiting Deer Cave, the largest cave passage in the world and Lang Cave where thousands of bats emerge in the
evenings. Return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Royal Mulu Resort.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 3 Mulu Caves-Miri |
|
Journey by boat to the source of Clearwater Cave and see the underground river as well as the dry passage of Lady's Cave and
Turtle Cave. Swim and picnic at the Clearwater Spring. After lunch, explore the Cave of the Winds with its tall and slender
stalagmites, before departing by flight to Miri. Upon arrival transfer to hotel.
Overnight at Miri Marriot Resort & Spa, or similar.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 4 Miri |
|
Day at leisure until transfer to airport for your onward flights.
Meals: Breakfast.
Note:
River transfers are very much dependent on the water levels at that time. Journeys may take longer or in some cases faster
than the anticipated times. Life jacket (provided in longboats) must be worn on all open longboat river journeys.
Occasionally you may be required to assist the guide and boat driver to help push the boat for certain part of the river
rides when water level is lower than normal.
Park regulations are that visits to Wind & Clearwater is between 0900 Hrs till 1200 Hrs and visits to Deer & Lang
Caves is between 1400 Hrs till 1600 Hrs. The Park is very strict on this as this is for the protection of the caves. Cave
lighting will be switched off at the prescribed time schedules. A camera/video fees are applicable and paid directly to
the Park HQ upon registration. Permit for filming equipment will have to be applied prior to arrival. Recommended
film for cave photographic is AS400.
You are advised to travel light and pack necessary clothing. Only 10 kg per person is allowed under weight
restrictions by Malaysia Airlines. Storage of excess luggage can be arranged in Miri.
What to bring:
Insect repellent, torch, hat, swimwear, sun lotion, drinking water, raincoat and binoculars. Wear good
walking shoes and comfortable cotton T-shirt with long or short pant.
